Using passive verbs,
One is left quite perturbed
(While brackets and hyph-
ens simply cause strife)
And nothing else bores us
Like subordinate clauses.

Had you ever made sense
Of the pluperfect tense
Or felt a compulsion
For rhetorical question
Or used a semicolon
When your sentence was so long?
And then there’s ellipsis…
Which creates quite the crisis.
